Matt Criner
Matt Criner is Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor at the City of Grapevine Parks and Rec. He began his career as a high school teacher and head wrestling coach, a role he excelled in for 18 years, including 8 years at the Grapevine-Colleyville School District. His commitment to fostering growth and development in young individuals has been a hallmark of his professional journey.
Educationally, Matt holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Oklahoma State University, a Master’s Degree in Education from Concordia University, and has completed post-graduate work in Human Resources at Cornell University.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys fishing and practicing Jiujitsu. He has been married for 20 years and is a proud father of two daughters. The Criner family has been a part of the Grapevine community for a decade and are active members of Compass Church in Colleyville.
